Privacy Policy

Last updated: June 2026

I want this to be one of the clearest privacy policies you have ever read, so I have written it the way I would explain it to a friend. It covers what happens to your information when you visit SupplementVetter.com, which is run by me, Abass Toriola.

The short version

You do not have to give me anything to use this site. There is no signup, no account, no form, and no newsletter box demanding your email before you can read a review. You can browse freely and anonymously. The only information gathered happens quietly in the background through standard analytics tools, and it is broad, pooled data that tells me how the site is doing, not who you are. I do not sell your data, mostly because I do not collect the kind that would be worth selling.

If that is all you needed, you are good to go. If you want the detail, it is all below.

Information you choose to give me

SupplementVetter does not ask you to submit any personal information to read, search, or use the site. No name, no email, no payment details, nothing.

The one exception is entirely your call. If you decide to email me at basicfreelance@gmail.com, then I will of course see your email address and whatever you write. I use that only to read and reply to your message. I do not add you to any mailing list, and I do not pass your email along to anyone else.

Information collected automatically

Like almost every website, SupplementVetter uses third party analytics tools to understand its traffic. These tools may quietly record things such as the pages you view, how long you stay, the type of device and browser you use, your rough geographic area (usually just the country or region), and how you arrived, for example from a Google search or a link someone shared. Some of this involves your IP address and small files called cookies, which I explain in a moment.

The tools I use for this are:

  • Google Analytics, which shows me how people move through the site and which reviews are actually useful.
  • Google Search Console, which shows me, in aggregate, how the site appears in Google search results.
  • Bing Webmaster Tools, which does the same on the Bing side.

Two important things about all of this. First, I see the data in bulk, as trends and totals, not as a profile with your name on it. I cannot look at it and know that a specific person read a specific page. Second, I use it for one purpose only: to understand what is working, fix what is not, and write clearer, more useful reviews.

These tools are run by Google and Microsoft, who process the data on their own systems under their own privacy policies. If you want the full picture of what they do with it, Google’s Privacy Policy and Microsoft’s Privacy Statement are the places to read.

Cookies

Cookies are tiny text files a website stores in your browser to remember things. Here they mostly help the analytics tools count visits accurately and tell a returning visitor apart from a brand new one. They are common, and they are not the villain they are sometimes made out to be, but they are yours to control.

You can block or delete cookies any time in your browser settings, and the site will still work perfectly well. If you would rather Google Analytics did not measure your visits at all, you can also install Google’s official Analytics opt out browser add on.

Affiliate links and links to other sites

SupplementVetter contains affiliate links, which means I may earn a small commission if you buy a product after clicking through, at no extra cost to you. When you click one, you leave my site and land on someone else’s, usually a retailer. The same goes for any other outside link I include, like a study or a lab result.

Once you are on another company’s website, their privacy practices take over, not mine. I have no control over what they collect, so it is always worth a quick glance at the privacy policy of any site you buy from or hand information to.

How your information is shared

Plainly: I do not sell, rent, or trade your information, and there is very little to trade in the first place. The only parties that touch any data are the analytics providers named above, who handle it as part of running their own tools. I would only ever share information if the law genuinely required it, such as a valid legal request.

Your choices

You are in control here. You can browse without giving me a thing, block cookies, use the Google Analytics opt out, switch on your browser’s “Do Not Track” setting, or simply email me with a question about your data. Depending on where you live, you may also have specific rights under laws like the GDPR or the CCPA, such as the right to ask what data exists about you or to request its deletion. Since I do not hold information that identifies you personally, there is usually very little for me to act on, but I am always glad to help if you reach out.

Children

This site is for adults making decisions about supplements, and it is not aimed at children. I do not knowingly collect any information from anyone under the age of 16. If you believe a child has sent me personal information by email, please tell me and I will delete it.

Security

I keep the site on reputable, secure platforms and rely on trusted providers like Google and Microsoft for analytics. No method of sending data over the internet is ever completely foolproof, but because SupplementVetter does not gather sensitive personal details in the first place, the risk to you stays very low by design.

Changes to this policy

If the way the site handles data ever changes, I will update this page and adjust the date at the top. Carrying on using the site after an update means you are fine with the current version, so it is worth a quick look now and then.

Questions

If anything here is unclear, or you want to ask about your information, email me at basicfreelance@gmail.com and I will get back to you.
